Gender Equality in Private Equity


Preqin, an alternative assets data research company, has compiled statistics about more than 11,500 private equity, real estate and infrastructure fund managers to present a global snapshot of gender equality in private equity firms. The factsheet here compares statistics over the last three years and presents an interesting picture. For instance, the number of women in senior jobs in Europe lags behind the number is Asia, which suggests there is more discrimination against women here in Europe. The figures also show that the number of women in senior positions is increasing across the world, but the increase is significantly less in smaller firms.
