Whistleblowing - Time for Change

The whistleblowing charity, Public Concern at Work (PCAW), recently published a review reporting that 60% of whistleblowing claims in the Employment Tribunal were unsuccessful in the years between 2009 and 2013. What is even more worrying is that about 40% of all the whistleblowing claims in these years involved claimants who acted for themselves (litigants in person) and of these only just over 32% were successful.

The report also discusses the legal sanctions sometimes used to bar whistleblowers from making claims and highlights the importance of getting advice as early as possible.

The full report can be found here.
