Since joining Tim Johnson/Law in June 2017 I have worked as a Legal Assistant on international employment agreements, restrictive covenants as well as whistleblowing litigation in financial services and the NHS. On a daily basis, I perform legal research, case assessments and deal with client meetings and case management.
I was particularly keen to join Tim Johnson/Law because of unusual position it occupies and the depth of knowledge of employment law in the firm.
After I came to London I started studying the law at Birkbeck and also volunteered at a Citizens Advice Bureau. That gave me experience of building client relationships and having to take responsibility for my own advice. I often had to think on my feet. My proudest achievement was advising a claimant pro bono in an unfair dismissal case, where I secured an excellent settlement the day before the hearing.
I am used to working with people from a wide range of countries with vastly different cultural expectations. I was born in the Ukraine and am fluent in four languages. I studied at the College of Economics and Law there where I gained a Diploma in Finance.
